Who: MHESA and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) partner to host an Annual UMSPH Health Management Case Competition.
What: This competition focuses on a domestic healthcare management issue. Though this is a management-focused competition, students from all public health disciplines are encouraged to participate! Interdisciplinary teams (comprised of 3 - 4 students) are encouraged, and often come up with the most innovative responses to the challenge.
When: This daylong main event will be held in mid-March 2016. More concrete details will be released early in the Winter 2016 semester.
Where: We host this competition at UMSPH.
Why: Our graduate classes teach students how to think critically and to analyze problems within a theoretical framework. Case competitions allow students to react to problems they will face when working in the field and to employ the skills they cultivate in class to tackle these challenges.
