Chanice Howard, President
Chanice is a second-year masters student studying Health Management and Policy. She oversees and coordinates all MHESA efforts across the executive board and committee chairs. Before coming to the University of Michigan, she attended the University of Florida where she studied Anthropology and Women's Studies and has experience working in community-based participatory research. Chanice spent the summer interning at Cleveland Clinic. She is passionate about cultivating tools and processes to enhance value-based care and providing high-quality care to vulnerable populations. chanicah@umich.edu

Mary Wiesman, Vice President of Operations
Mary is a second-year masters student studying Health Management and Policy. She is responsible for coordination and operational oversight within MHESA. From Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Mary attended Marquette University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Mary spent a year working at an ophthalmology office before returning to grad school where she learned about physician management and clinic operations. She spent the summer interning at Michigan Medicine in the department of otolaryngology and is interested in ambulatory care operations. wiesmanm@umich.edu

Mark Grether, Vice President of Communications
Mark is a second-year masters student studying Health Management and Policy He is responsible for maintaining all MHESA communication channels. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he earned a bachelor's degree in Public Health. He has experience working at a HCA network hospital, and at an occupational medicine clinic by Intermountain Healthcare. This summer, Mark interned at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in the corporate strategy department. He is interested in working with others to drive change in the healthcare system to improve how patients navigate and experience care delivery. mgrether@umich.edu

Jordan Baird, Vice President of Finance
Jordan is a second-year masters student studying Health Management and Policy. She is responsible for managing all of the organization’s funds. Before attending the University of Michigan, Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent her summer interning at Michigan Medicine in virtual care operations. Jordan is passionate about improving patient experience and interested in healthcare technology and how it can be utilized to improve access. bairdja@umich.edu
